Next weekend, Tucson will welcome its first Daiso store, a popular Japanese variety retailer, with a grand opening event on Saturday, August 31. The new store will be located at Ventana Village Shopping Center, filling a 10,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Tuesday Morning.
Daiso to Open First Tucson Store
Daiso, known for its wide range of products including home décor, beauty items, school supplies, and snacks, currently operates seven locations across Arizona. For the Tucson store's opening, about 300 shoppers are expected to attend.
The store will open its doors at 9 a.m. on the opening day. To celebrate, the first 100 customers who spend $30 or more will receive a special Daiso goodie bag. Regular store hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays, according to Tucson.com.
Jack Williams, Chief Retail Operations Officer for Daiso USA, expressed excitement about the new Tucson location. "We are thrilled to offer a top-notch shopping experience to the vibrant Tucson community and are committed to providing exceptional service," he said.

Daiso Store Opening in California
In addition to the Tucson opening, another Daiso store is set to open in Oxnard, California, on September 7. The new Oxnard location will also offer a variety of products and is situated at the Marketplace at Oxnard shopping center on Ventura Blvd, according to USA Today.
Joe Pearson II, Planning and Environmental Services Manager for Oxnard, commented, "The arrival of new businesses like Daiso benefits the community by providing additional shopping options."
Daiso has been expanding its presence across the US, with the new Oxnard store marking its second location in Ventura County. Daiso's global reach includes over 6,000 stores worldwide, and the company plans further expansion in Ventura, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties.
