Ms. MacDonald has over 30 years of experience working in publishing, public relations and media. She began her career working in book publishing in the U.S. and England then assisted the Dutch correspondent for Billboard in The Netherlands. She was a staff writer and columnist for Gannett Suburban Newspapers from 1990 to 1995. From 1995 to 2012 she was an editor/writer and vice-president at North American Precis Syndicate, a public relations/features service. As a writer Ms. MacDonald has published six nonfiction books.

Beginning his career as a journalist in 2009, Jesse got his start as the news and features editor at Hunter College's oldest newspaper, the Envoy. The following year, he won the Murray Kempton Award for Journalism in the category of news reporting.After graduating cum laude from Hunter with a B.A. in 2011, Jesse was honored with the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism for his reporting.He spent the next two years reporting on New York City crime, politics and lifestyle issues, first for the Bay Ridge-based newspapers the Home Reporter and the Brooklyn Spectator, then later for the citywide news website DNAinfo.
