Manny Pacquiao Next Fight News: Chris Algieri Vows To Break Pacquiao’s Confidence, ‘Pacman’ Remains Undaunted

| By

Chris Algieri said in a Manny Pacquiao next fight news that he'll win in their upcoming showdown, but the Filipino boxing icon remains confident that he'll walk away with a victory.

In an interview with Bad Left Hook, Algieri knows that he will have a tough night against Pacquiao in their upcoming fight on Nov. 22 in Macau, but he believes he has the perfect fight plan to beat the former pound-for-pound king.

Algieri, who is coming off a breakout win against Ruslan Provodnikov in June, said that breaking Pacquiao's focus will be his key to victory in their World Boxing Organization welterweight title showdown.

"He knows how to fight," Algieri said in the Manny Pacquiao next fight news. "It's going to be my job to break his focus and break his will, like I did with Ruslan."

Algieri also added that his four-inch height advantage will be a factor because it will help him execute his jab effectively. But aside from his height and size advantage, the unbeaten light welterweight champion insisted that his boxing IQ will help him score a huge upset against his more celebrated foe.

"My mental preparedness, my mental mind state going into the fight. By the end of training camp I'm going to be even more confident than I am now and as you know I'm already a confident person," Algieri said. "I bring to the table many things that Manny hasn't seen."

However, Pacquiao, who is coming off two straight dominating victories against Brandon Rios and Timothy Bradley, is undaunted, saying that he will be ready for whatever Algieri will bring into the ring on fight night.

The 35-year-old champion also pointed out that Algieri will not be able to maximize his height advantage, saying that he is used to fighting taller opponents as proven by his victories against Oscar De La Hoya and Antonio Margarito before.

"Algieri's bigger and taller than me, and he's a champion and with an unbeaten record," the Filipino said in a Manny Pacquiao next fight news. "I know what I'm going to do in training and in the fight. It's not the first time I'm fighting a taller fighter."
