Selena Gomez felt a lot of love on her birthday and she didn't need a boyfriend for that to happen.
Despite her alleged breakup with Zedd, she still found inspiration from her friends including her former lover Justin Bieber. There were rumors coming out that the two are dating again because they were spotted hanging out by the pool a few weeks ago.
However, the 21-year-old Canadian artist denied the dating rumors.
"No girlfriend at the moment, no. I'm single," he told Martha Stewart.
A source close to the 23-year-old singer also revealed that Selena has no interest in dating Justin.
"There's nothing going on with them romantically at all," the insider told PEOPLE.
Despite the breakup dramas, the source also revealed that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are now good friends. In fact, the "Where Are U Now" hitmaker greeted the "I Want You To Know" singer on her birthday via FaceTime. According to Hollywood Life, distance didn't stop the singer from being sweet to the actress.
"Justin serenaded Happy Birthday to Selena from his studio on FaceTime," an insider revealed. "He started the conversation by holding out one red rose and pretended to give it to Selena through the screen. He knows Selena loves roses."
Apart from the red rose, Bieber also made his birthday greeting more special by singing her a song. "He played the guitar and sang a cute, funny version of Happy Birthday," their source said. "It made her really happy. It was sweet."
The "Behaving Badly" actress also felt the love from her BFF Taylor Swift who shared a collage of their photos on social media.
"Happy 23rd Birthday, @selenagomez. I can't believe it's been 7 years since we met!! I love you so much, always," the 25-year-old singer wrote on Twitter.
Selena Gomez expressed how much grateful she was for all the birthday greetings including that from Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
"I am the luckiest, happiest girl today. Thank you guys so much for all the bday wishes!! I love growing up with you," she wrote on Instagram.
