There were rumors that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are dating again after the two were spotted hanging out at the pool area of Montage Hotel in California.
Photos of the former lovebirds leaked online, which started out the speculations that they have reunited.
"Justin is shirtless with a towel around his neck and sunglasses, walking away from the pool and inside the hotel," an insider told Hollywood Life. "Selena has her hair up in a ponytail, wearing a large black T-shirt that looks like it belongs to Justin. She's following him inside."
Despite the leaked photos that almost drove the Jelena fans crazy, the 22-year-old actress and the 21-year-old pop star claim that they are not back together.
"She has no interest [in dating him]," a source close to Selena told PEOPLE. "There's nothing going on with them romantically at all."
However, the insider revealed that the on-again off-again couple is now good friends and they try to get in touch with each other when they have time.
"That's probably the first time they'd seen each other in a while," the source added.
Last May, Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. shared a Snapchat video that showed Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber hanging out with other churchgoers after his service.
"The exes were cordial, but that's it," a source told TMZ. That video started out rumors that the exes are dating again.
However, the rumors died when the two singing superstars got busy with their careers. In the August issue of Interview magazine, the Canadian recording artist revealed to Martha Stewart his relationship status. "No girlfriend at the moment, no. I'm single," Justin confessed.
The "Baby" hitmaker revealed though, who is his current love. "My love? My love today is my little brother," Bieber said. "He's staying with me for the next week. So he's my love right now." Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may not be dating as of the moment, but many fans are hoping it would lead to that someday especially now that the two are good friends.
