Project Pie expands into New Jersey

| By

Project Pie, a California-style pizza franchise, is expanding business in northern New Jersey.

The restaurant's parent, the Belvedere Group, is slated to open nine new locations in the region of the state.

"We think it's really going to take the world by storm," northern New Jersey Director of Operations Dom Sgambelluri said, according to NJ.com.

"I think the price point is going to be very attractive for people."

One of the restaurant's most distinguishing features is its fixed-price topping policy: as long as customers pay the standard price for personal pies, they can select as many toppings as they want. In California, the personal pies are priced at $7.50.

Project Pie, like many other restaurant franchises around the world, is beginning to embrace the build-your-own food model that will give customers customization powers.

The Belvedere Group has not announced the specific price it will charge for its nine new locations.
