GoPro, an organization devoted to camera and video photography production, experienced a drop in stock shares on Monday following Formula One driver Michael Schumacher's recent skiing accident.
"The problem for Michael was not the hit, but the mounting of the Go-Pro camera that he had on his helmet that injured his brain," Jean-Louis Moncet explained in a recent radio interview.
Shares of the company went down approximately 10 percent when speculation over the specific details of his injury began. It is rumored that the mounted camera on his head was partly responsible for the crash.
Michael Schumacher's injuries were sustained in December. GoPro shares were priced at $76.67 following the incident, CNBC reports.
The company, however, has also responded to the rumors and have addressed discrepancies in arguments against the group.
"We are trying to get more information about the original report from Jean Louis Moncet," GoPro spokesman Jeff Brown told Reuters.
"His tweet this morning suggests the comments didn't come from a family member."
The company's shares are expected to continue decreasing until more information about the incident is revealed.
