New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is reportedly unhappy with the decision-making of their coaching staff, according to recent NFL trade rumors 2014. Will the veteran ask for trade from the Patriots?
Brady, who is playing in his 15th season in the league, is reportedly growing frustrated with their coaching staff because of his diminishing role on their offensive sets with NFL insider Chris Mortensen saying that there is already tension between the quarterback and coach Bill Belichick.
"Sources say Brady is uncomfortable with the personnel and coaching changes, the consequences have led to tensions between Brady and the coaching staff, with Brady's input into game plans, personnel packages, formations, pre-snap adjustments being significantly diminished," Mortensen said in an NFL trade rumors 2014 interview via CBS Sports.
Reports also indicated that Belichick is already preparing for Brady's eventual exit. It is allegedly the reason why they drafted Jimmy Garropolo, who could be Brady's successor in New England.
"Even though Bill Belichick chuckled when asked Monday night about Brady's status, others close to the team now believe that when the Patriots used that second-round pick (in 2014) on Jimmy Garropolo that they were, in fact, choosing Brady's successor, perhaps sooner than later," Mortensen added.
In an interview during his weekly media availability, Brady declined to talk about his reported frustrations this season, but 37-year-old quarterback reiterated that he doesn't want to be traded, saying that he wants to end his career with the Patriots.
"I love the Patriots," Brady said of NFL trade rumors 2014 via ESPN. "I always say it, and I say it time and time again, there is no place I'd rather play, there is no place I'd rather be. I play for the greatest owner and, to me, the greatest coach of all time."
Brady, who has completed 104-of-172 passes this season for 1,083 yards with six touchdowns, was selected in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft and has spent his entire career with the Patriots.
The former Michigan standout knows that there are players who played for a team for long period of time only to be traded in the latter parts of their career, but Brady insisted that he won't ask for a trade from New England.
