Papa John's Offers Ultimate Meats Pizza For A Limited Time

Papa John offers the Ultimate Meats Pizza for a limited time in response to customers' demands of more meat in their pizza. To complete the meal, the chain also serves the eight-slice chocolate chip cookie.

The Ultimate Meats Pizza will be available till October 26 for $12 a pie. has five types of meat and features Papa John's signature hand-tossed crust with layers of natural pizza sauce. It's covered with mozzarella cheese and seasoned with bacon for the extra kick. The five types of meat are "pepperoni, salami, sausage, center-cut Canadian bacon and hickory smoked bacon."

Regarding the naming the pizza, Papa John's chief marketing officer Bob Kraut said, "We asked our customers what kind of meat they would like on their pizza and they said, 'more,' which is why we created the Ultimate Meats Pizza." Kraut said that they wanted to satisfy their customers' craving for a meatier pizza and their sweet tooth in the cooling weather.

Peyton Manning, the quarterback for Denver Broncos, teamed up with Papa Johns to promote the limited pizza offer. The quarterback will appear in a television commercial with the CEO John Schnatter. The pair will act out the roles of "Pizza Maker" and "Play Maker." In the TV spot, the CEO talks to Manning about football strategy while making a pizza, while the football start tells Schnatter that should just stick to pizza-making. Manning is a franchise owner of Papa John's himself.

Schnatter founded Papa John's in October 1984. For the past 15 years, the restaurant chain has been voted number one in customer service among pizza chains in the country. The Kentucky-based chain is the official sponsor the National Football League and Super Bowl XLIX.
