HP will be launching cheap Windows laptop and tablet in November this year. Microsoft is helping drum up consumer interest in the latest HP products by offering a one year subscription to their Office 365 Personal.
The HP Stream tablets come in two sizes a 7 inch and 8 inch. The smaller will cost the consumer around $99 USD while the bigger version will cost $149 USD.
Both HP tablets will be using Intel chips of unknown specifications. Since these are cheap Windows Laptops and Tablets the chips are probably of low level. The tablets have OneDrive storage of 1 TB and every month the owner will receive one free hour of Skype call. The bigger 8 inch model has free LTE data of about 200 MB every month with no obligation.
HP will also present two Stream laptops. The 11.6" model has an HD display while the bigger 13.3" inch has an optional touch display. Both laptops will be powered by Celeron processors from Intel. Buyers have to understand that these are cheap Windows laptops and tablets, so one should be realistic on their expectations about the capabilities of these devices.
The smaller laptop Stream 11 has a selling price of around $199 USD while the bigger Stream 13 will sell for $229 USD. Both have flash storage of 32 GB and both are designed without a fan. These two laptops will come out in either blue or magenta. The HP latest offerings of cheap Windows laptops and tablets will joined the other various devices, just in time for the holiday seasons. Later this October, HP will launch their 14 inch Stream laptop.
HP's upcoming cheap Windows laptops and tablets offering for the holiday season is probably Microsoft's plan to counter the growing popularity of Goggle Chromebooks and other Android powered tablets and devices. One advantage Android devices have, over Windows devices, is the question of price. Now that HP is offering cheaper Windows laptops and tablets, Android can expect some competition.
