Many think Apple did this to avoid competing with the Presidential debate, which is happening on Tuesday (September 17). By choosing Monday, Apple ensures they get all the attention without other big news getting in the way, according to Forbes.

Apple Intelligence Launch
Usually, Apple announces a new iPhone on a Tuesday, starts pre-orders on Friday, and then makes the phones available in stores the following Friday. While people expect a similar schedule this year, the exact dates haven't yet been confirmed.
