Fans of the South Korean boyband BTS, known as the Army, were excited about BTS member Suga's special vinyl release of his album D-Day and quickly placed their preorders.
The singer, Agust D on his record, released the album last year to critical acclaim, topping Billboard's World Albums chart and reaching number two on the Billboard 200.
Ahead of its July release, fans had multiple options to preorder the vinyl, with Target offering it at a discounted price of $49.99. On Amazon and the band's official website, the price was slightly higher at $50.99.
On Monday morning, a fan account on X, previously known as Twitter, informed followers that Target had canceled their preorders for the D-DAY vinyl. They advised others who had ordered from Target to check their order status.
According to the post, it was noted that Target had canceled D-DAY vinyl pre-orders, and fans were encouraged to verify their order status if they had pre-ordered from Target.
The post gained over 730 shares, with many fans expressing disappointment and contacting Target for assistance with their canceled orders.
According to Bright Music, Agust D's latest album, D-DAY, features ten tracks, including the standout "Haegeum" and the pre-release track "People Pt.2 (feat. IU)". This album marks the conclusion of Agust D's trilogy, following his earlier mixtapes Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020).
The main track, "Haegeum," uniquely blends hip-hop with the traditional Korean string instrument haegeum. SUGA contributed to the songwriting for all tracks and oversaw the entire production of D-DAY, underscoring his exceptional talents as a musician and producer.

The U.S. Sun revealed that over 730 people shared concerns online, with many more voicing frustrations over canceled album orders from Target. They turned to social media, urging the retailer to address issues causing delays and cancellations.
According to one dedicated fan, the main issue causing cancellations and delays for the D-Day Vinyl is a shortage of stocks. Fans noted that Target, Amazon, and Walmart are popular choices due to lower costs compared to the BTS store.
Fans contacted Target and Amazon to clarify the "underlying issues" and ensure the timely delivery of their records.
Fans expressed concerns that delayed shipments might affect the album's debut ranking, aiming to propel it back to the top of the charts. Some voiced frustrations, emphasizing the artist's popularity and sales history.
"This is the rapper who sold one million albums in one day. Treat him like it," one customer expressed.
