A popular Western clothing store, Pinto Ranch, has announced that it will be closing indefinitely. Known for its selection of cowboy gear, Pinto Ranch has been a favorite shopping spot for over 20 years, attracting big names like the famous rapper Drake.
Pinto Ranch Closes Doors After 20 Years
After serving the Houston community with Western wear for two decades, Pinto Ranch has unexpectedly shut down. The Post Oak Plaza store displayed a sign last week announcing, "This store is closed until further notice."
Pinto Ranch, which also operates branches in Dallas and Terminal C of Bush Airport, has closed those locations as well. ABC13 received confirmation of the closures directly from the outlets.
In a recent conversation with ABC13, owner Guido Caranti hinted that the closure might be permanent, though he chose not to confirm this explicitly at the time. Caranti expressed a preference for not discussing the situation with the media currently.
Earlier on June 7, Pinto Ranch had advertised a sale on their social media platforms, hinting at no forewarning of the imminent closures.
In the past week, several customers have reported that their online orders from Pinto Ranch were abruptly canceled without any given reason, and their attempts to get an explanation went unanswered on the store's social media accounts.
Efforts to contact Pinto Ranch through phone calls and emails have also met with silence from the company.
On Monday, numerous customers were surprised to find the doors of the store locked when they visited. Many expressed their disappointment, noting the uniqueness of Pinto Ranch in the city and sharing their hopes that the store's closure isn't permanent.

The store's social media account shared a photo of Drake with the caption suggesting he was living out his dreams in cowboy attire and expressed gratitude for his visit.'
However, the reaction on social media was mixed. Some users criticized his outfit, with one questioning the choice and another humorously suggesting Drake had just discovered the TV show "Yellowstone."
Despite these comments, others praised Drake's look and showed appreciation for the western wear shop, with one woman expressing her love for both the outfit and the store and another customer noting satisfaction with her previous purchases.
