Kohl's is making it easier for shoppers to return items bought from other retailers at their stores.

The company, which lets customers return Amazon purchases, is now expanding this convenience with a new feature called "The Return Drop" at Kohl's locations.

Kohl's Expands Returns with The Return Drop

Kohl's is enhancing its return services by introducing "The Return Drop @ Kohl's." Per Kohl's website, this new in-store feature builds on the existing service, allowing customers to return items without packaging or labels from select retailers and brands.

More than 1,100 Kohl's stores nationwide will offer this convenience. The expansion comes through a partnership with Inmar Post-Purchase Solutions and Narvar, enabling customers to return goods from a growing list of partners, including well-known brands like Carhartt, Hanes, Levi's, and more.

"The Return Drop @ Kohl's" is part of Kohl's commitment to improving the shopping experience, offering greater convenience for customers, and utilizing its extensive national presence and robust supply chain.

The U.S. Sun revealed that Gregg Barta, Kohl's executive vice president of supply chain and logistics, emphasized the importance of offering convenient services as part of Kohl's dedication to enhancing the customer experience.

He noted that The Return Drop at Kohl's is designed to ease the return process for customers while also bringing operational advantages and efficiencies to the participating retailers and brands.

To use the service, customers will start their return process with the original retailer and select the "Kohl's Drop Off" option.

They will receive a QR code, which can be scanned at any Kohl's location. Shoppers only need to bring the merchandise, without needing the original box or label, to complete their return.

Once the return is initiated, the items will be sent to Inmar Post-Purchase Solutions for final processing.

Amit Sharma, founder and chief executive officer of Narvar, expressed that customers highly value easy return options, and brands that provide multiple return channels enhance their convenience, which can deepen customer relationships and encourage long-term loyalty.

Through its partnership with Kohl's, Narvar aims to leverage Kohl's nationwide store network to offer these benefits to its merchants.

Kohl's to Open Babies"R" Us Stores Inside

The company aims to open 200 of these stores by the holiday season, following its partnership announcement with Babies"R" Us owner WHP Global in March.

The rollout will continue through the fall, ensuring all stores are ready for the holiday rush. These new sections will be located next to existing baby and kids' areas, offering a wide selection of baby gear, furniture, toys, and accessories, with an expanded online selection.

Key locations include New York (30), Massachusetts (25), New Jersey (13), Illinois (11), Wisconsin (11), and Texas (10). A detailed map of specific locations is available on Kohl's website.

This move mirrors Kohl's successful integration of Sephora shops, enhancing the shopping experience and expanding product offerings.
