Taco Bell is set to introduce a new item to its menu after successful testing in Indianapolis, Indiana. The fast food giant confirmed that the savory dish received positive feedback, prompting a nationwide rollout.

Taco Bell enthusiasts nationwide are looking forward to trying the latest addition.

Taco Bell Expanded Menu with Cheesy Chalupas

Last fall, Taco Bell introduced a new menu item, the Cheesy Street Chalupas, at its locations in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to a local Fox News station report.

These chalupas, inspired by street food and reminiscent of the chain's former Quesalupas, were exclusively available in the Indianapolis area starting in October 2023.

The Cheesy Street Chalupas featured shells stuffed with mozzarella and pepper jack cheese, filled with either steak or chicken and topped with diced onions and cilantro.

Each order included two chalupas, and prices ranged between $5.49 and $5.99, depending on the location.

In addition to the chalupas, Taco Bell also tested another new item, Crispy Chicken Nuggets, which were only available in Minneapolis. The nuggets were made from white meat marinated in jalapeno-spiced buttermilk, breaded, and fried.

Customers could choose from two dipping sauces: a "Bell sauce" or a jalapeno-flavored honey mustard. The nuggets were sold in two sizes, ranging from $3.99 for five pieces to $7.99 for ten pieces, including both sauces.

Last week, The U.S. Sun revealed that a popular food blogger on Instagram, @markie_devo, announced that Taco Bell plans to introduce the Cheesy Street Chalupas to its menu starting July 18. This revelation sparked significant enthusiasm among Taco Bell fans.

Responses from Taco Bell enthusiasts included expressions of excitement and humor about the financial indulgence the new item entices. One fan exclaimed about Taco Bell's impressive new offerings, while another humorously noted that Taco Bell was claiming all their disposable income.

A third fan eagerly anticipated the new chalupas, declaring them a personal favorite.

Despite attempts to get confirmation from Taco Bell, the company remained tight-lipped, neither confirming nor denying the upcoming addition to the menu.

The food blogger also revealed further details about next month's menu innovations. In addition to the Cheesy Street Chalupas, Taco Bell plans to release Jalapeño Ranch Nacho Fries. These will be available with either seasoned beef or a vegetarian option that includes beans.

Furthermore, the Cheesy Street Chalupas will be available in two different meal choices. The combo includes two Cheesy Street Chalupas, chips with nacho cheese sauce, and a large drink.

The deluxe cravings box features two Cheesy Street Chalupas along with a beefy five-layer burrito, a crunchy taco, cinnamon twists, and a medium drink.

Following the excitement around Taco Bell's Cheesy Street Chalupas, Yahoo Lifestyle reports that customers in Detroit, Michigan, were delighted to discover that another new item, the dipping burrito, is currently being tested in their local outlets.

This news sparked hope among fans in other regions, who are eager for Taco Bell to either make this item a regular feature or extend the testing to include their areas.

The dipping burrito, revealed by the Instagram food blogger Snackolator on June 7, comes in snack-sized portions with options of chicken, seasoned beef, or steak. These mini burritos are packed with a three-cheese blend and ranch sauce, making them a tantalizing addition to the Taco Bell menu.
