The U.S. Sun revealed that the $60-a-year Gold Star or $120-a-year Executive membership allows Costco members to shop at any of the 611 stores in the U.S.
However, customers are starting to realize additional, less well-known perks.
Firstly, Costco members can shop at any Costco warehouse worldwide.
Countries with the most Costco stores, excluding the US, include Canada with 108, Mexico with 40, and Japan with 33.
The United Kingdom, South Korea, Australia, Taiwan, China, Spain, France, Iceland, New Zealand, and Sweden also have Costco locations.
One visitor to Japan recently discovered this benefit. They shared on X that their Costco membership was accepted in Japan, allowing them to purchase many sweets.
Another little-known perk of Costco membership is access to Costco Business Center stores. These stores sell items in bulk quantities and offer a unique shopping experience with exclusive products and a different food court.
Costco has 24 of these special warehouses across the nation.
One customer recently discovered the Business Center and shared on X that anyone with a regular Costco membership can enter. They noted the availability of business-size items, such as smaller bags of chips in larger quantities, huge tubs of Nutella, and products not found in regular Costco stores.

The Costco Auto Program eases car-buying by pre-negotiating prices with local dealerships, eliminating the need for haggling, and providing up to 15% off parts, services, and accessories at participating centers.
For tire purchases, Costco frequently undercuts other retailers and includes promotions, such as discounts on sets of four tires. Benefits include free installation, a five-year roadside hazard warranty, and lifetime maintenance services, typically extra at other shops.
Costco members also enjoy a 25% discount on Budget Truck Rentals, which can lead to significant savings on local and long-distance moves.
