As Wendy's celebrates National Burger Day, burger fans can enjoy one of their favorites for just a penny. This offer is sure to ease the burden on customers' budgets. However, some are concerned that this deal could lead to unforeseen issues.

Wendy's Offers Penny Burger Deal

In celebration of National Hamburger Day on Tuesday, Wendy's is rolling out a tempting week-long offer for its customers. From May 28 to June 2, patrons can score a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for just one cent with the purchase of any other item, as confirmed by the company to USA TODAY.

According to a statement from Wendy's, customers are invited to savor the taste of a Wendy's burger crafted with fresh, never frozen beef to commemorate National Hamburger Day properly.

The Today website reported that the Wendy's penny burger deal has some conditions. It's available for just six days at participating Wendy's outlets nationwide, and customers must use the Wendy's app or website to take advantage of this offer.

They must sign up for an account to access this one-time deal. It's worth noting that you can't mix multiple digital deals in one order.

Wendy's, known for its witty remarks, has previously offered its Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for less than a penny. It's a curious fact that making this burger costs about three cents. On National Cheeseburger Day last September, Wendy's sold this burger for just one cent during a similar four-day celebration.

In addition to the penny burger offer, Wendy's has introduced a $3 value breakfast meal. This meal includes small Seasoned Potatoes and a choice between bacon, egg, cheese, sausage, or an egg and cheese English muffin sandwich.

Wendy's breakfast deal joins the ongoing battle among fast-food chains to offer value meals. McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Taco Bell, and others are rolling out deals, hoping to attract customers tired of high drive-through prices.

According to The U.S. Sun, while many fans are excited about the penny burger deal, there are concerns about potential longer wait times. On social media, one user mentioned, "Great, now the wait time is going to increase by another 20 minutes." Another expressed, "It's not worth it."

Wendy's did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment.

Apart from the penny burger deal, Wendy's has introduced other significant changes to its menu. Last week, the fast-food chain launched a $3 breakfast deal.

This offer includes an English muffin sandwich served with seasoned wedges. Customers can choose between a bacon or sausage patty accompanied by a fried egg and a slice of cheese.

Moreover, Wendy's has introduced a delectable dessert treat with "creamy orange notes with a classic vanilla flavor." This limited-time offering is sure to delight customers.

Several major fast-food chains are also rolling out deals and promotions to celebrate National Burger Day this week. On Tuesday, Burger King, marking its 70th birthday, will offer a free burger with any 70-cent purchase.

Arby's, on the other hand, is offering Arby's Rewards Members a 50% discount on any burger ordered online or via the app. As reported by USA Today, this offer is valid from Monday, May 27, until June 2.
