Sam's Club has announced that its store hours will change for one day later this month.
Other retailers make similar adjustments or close completely to observe a significant holiday.
Sam's Club Memorial Day Hours Adjusted
Sam's Club will be open on Memorial Day this year with limited hours. According to its website, the store will open at 8 a.m. for Plus members and 10 a.m. for Club members, closing at 6 p.m. This schedule applies to only three major holidays: Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
A guest pass can be obtained at the Customer Service desk, though a 10-percent fee will be added to purchases. For large family gatherings, such as those on Memorial Day, it might be stockingssentials or enjoying thenjoyingre's famous chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.
Sam's Club might be worthwhile. It offers conveniences like curbside pickup and scan-and-go to enhance the shopping experience for those considering membership.
Moreover, Sam's Club offers a special deal on memberships for Memorial Day. New customers can sign up for a Club membership for just $25 per year, 50% off the regular price.
This offer ends on May 31, and customers can sign up online.
Memorial Day is a national and federal holiday, meaning federal businesses and government-owned buildings will be closed. Most banks will also be closed, and many private companies, including retailers and restaurants, may operate on holiday hours or close for the day.

Sam's Club Introduces New Electronic Carts
The U.S. Sun reports that Sam's Club is rolling out new electronic carts to help shoppers avoid the much-hated receipt check at the end of their visit. Currently available at 120 locations, these carts let customers order their items and pay via the app while shopping.
AI technology verifies that the items in the cart have been paid for, removing the need for a human to check paper receipts.
"At Sam's Club, we care about every second a member spends with us, so eliminating even the few seconds it takes to scan a receipt at the exit door - it's well worth it," said Megan Crozier, executive vice president and chief merchant for Sam's Club, at the CES 2024 event in January.
Sam's Club will expand its AI-powered electronic carts to nearly 600 stores by year's end, reports USA Today. This technology, first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show, allows customers to ring up and pay via an app while shopping, eliminating receipt checks. Chief Product Officer Todd Garner praised the innovation and scale of this rollout.
