The trade-in process involves a few straightforward steps. Customers start by bringing old car seats or bases to their local Target and placing them in the designated boxes inside the store.
Next, they must scan a QR code on the box to add a special bonus to their Target Circle account. Should any issues arise, Target's Guest Services team members are readily available to assist.
Once the QR code is scanned, the trade-in bonus will appear in the customer's Target app wallet. This bonus can be used twice on qualifying purchases until May 11. It offers a unique opportunity for customers to stack their savings by combining the bonus with other ongoing Target promotions, maximizing the value of their new purchases.
During Target's car seat trade-in event, Target Circle members who participate can secure a 20% discount on their next purchases. This special offer encourages customers to recycle old car seats for a discount on new baby gear.
The discount from the trade-in can be applied to a range of products, including new car seats, car seat bases, travel systems, strollers, and select baby home items. The eligible baby home gear extends to playards, rockers, swings, high chairs, walkers, entertainers, bouncers, and jumpers, providing a broad scope for parents to choose from.
According to the event details on the retailer's website, each participating member can use the 20% bonus twice and must redeem it by Saturday, May 11, 2024. This initiative offers significant savings and promotes environmental responsibility by recycling old car seats.
