Applebee's has added a new burger to its lineup that promises a feast for bacon lovers. The Whole Lotta Bacon Burger features a beef patty infused with seared Applewood-smoked bacon, topped with three additional bacon slices, a tangy bacon sauce, and American cheese.

It's all served on a toasted Brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and classic fries.

Joel Yashinsky, Applebee's Chief Marketing Officer, is excited about the new addition. "If you love bacon, we've got the burger for you: our NEW Whole Lotta Bacon Burger," he said.

"This burger covers all your bacon bases-from the bacon seared into the beef patty to the bacon in the tangy sauce and the bacon slices on top. Don't miss your chance to enjoy one of our new guest-favorite items!"

Besides the Whole Lotta Bacon Burger, Applebee's menu also features a variety of handcrafted burgers, including the Bourbon Street Mushroom Swiss Burger, Neighborhood Burger, Impossible Cheeseburger, Quesadilla Burger, Whisky Bacon Burger, Classic Bacon Burger, Classic Cheeseburger, and Classic Burger.

Food enthusiasts are buzzing on social media about the new burger.

One curious Facebook user asked, "Will it look like that?" Meanwhile, another commented humorously, "Ha, if food coming out of the kitchen ever looked that good, I'd fall off my chair."

The Whole Lotta Bacon Burger will be available shortly at participating Applebee's locations.

For $9.99, customers can enjoy this bacon-packed treat, which promises a rich flavor that will satisfy bacon lovers.

Fans can enjoy the Whole Lotta Bacon Burger by ordering online or dining in at an Applebee's. Use the store locator on Applebee's website to find the nearest location.

Fans of Applebee's who enjoy breakfast might find the perfect match soon.

Dine Brands Inc., the parent company of Applebee's and IHOP, has announced plans to open locations where both restaurants operate together.

During the company's latest earnings call, CEO John Peyton revealed that eight such joint locations have already been launched internationally, with the newest one in León, Mexico.

According to Peyton, the strategy behind these joint venues is to cut costs and increase revenue by drawing in customers at different times of the day. "At breakfast, when there are more IHOP customers, customers can be seated in the Applebee's area and vice versa at dinner," Peyton explained in an interview with Nation's Restaurant News.

While there's no set date yet, Peyton mentioned that this dual-dining concept will eventually come to the U.S.

Dine Brands, which owns Applebee's and IHOP, has faced recent challenges like changing consumer tastes and cost pressures, resulting in the closure of hundreds of Applebees, including 46 in 2023.

However, the company plans to open 25 new Applebees with modern features like robotic beer dispensers through Flynn Restaurant Group. Meanwhile, IHOP continues to grow, opening 46 new U.S. locations last year, solidifying its position as a market leader.
