JCPenney Closed for Easter, Offers Extended Hours
JCPenney, a popular department store chain, will not be open on Easter Sunday, March 31. This announcement means anyone planning to shop at JCPenney that day must make other plans.
However, there's good news for shoppers. JCPenney has confirmed to The U.S. Sun that it will extend its hours on March 29 and 30, the days leading up to the holiday. This gives customers extra time to shop before the store closes for the holiday.
Additionally, the stores will return to their regular hours on the day after Easter, known as Easter Monday.
Easter isn't the only holiday when JCPenney gives its staff a break. The store also remains closed on other significant holidays like Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day, showing its commitment to allowing employees time with their families during these important occasions.
With over 660 stores nationwide as of March 2024, according to data from ScrapeHero, JCPenney is among several department stores that choose to close their doors on Easter Sunday, reflecting a trend of respecting holiday traditions and family time.
