Apple is preparing to make some product announcements this week, Supercharged reports, based on information from two sources.
The company has informed its retail teams that they will be refreshing stores this week. This update, planned for later in the week, could include updating interior decorations and marketing materials and replacing old demo products with new ones.
Additionally, Supercharged found that Apple has arranged meetings with certain media representatives this week.
Apple's Big Update: New Products Expected
The details of Apple's upcoming media briefings and store updates remain a mystery. The retail transformation is scheduled to happen overnight on Thursday, March 7, after the media has been briefed and potential new products have been announced earlier in the week.
While the briefings alone might suggest updates not directly linked to new products, the extensive nature of the store refresh supports the idea that Apple is gearing up to launch new hardware soon.
Rumors are swirling that Apple plans to unveil new iPad and Mac models this month, in line with its history of March updates. The much-anticipated OLED iPad Pro and updates to the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models, featuring the new M3 chip, could be introduced.
Selected media members, including popular YouTubers, are set to have briefings with Apple. These meetings could cover anything from handing out new products for review to sharing embargo dates and other key information.
While the exact details of what Apple will unveil remain under wraps, earlier speculation suggests we might see updates to the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air, as well as the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models, featuring new OLED screens and the M3 chipset.

However, an unconfirmed rumor suggests the new iPad Pro models might come with the M4 chip instead of the M3.
Additionally, without any other significant upgrades rumored for the latest devices, it seems unlikely that Apple will organize a special launch event for its iPad Pro and MacBook Air lineup.
Following its usual practice, Apple might opt for a simple reveal through press releases on its website.
Apple's March Updates: New Products on the Horizon
In January, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman revealed that Apple had already started mass production of the new iPad Pro and MacBook Air, aiming for a release by the end of March. The lineup is expected to expand with a refreshed iPad Air, introducing a 12.9-inch model, alongside updates to the Apple Pencil and the iPad Pro's Magic Keyboard.
Although there won't be a traditional March event this year, Apple may still share news through a special video on its YouTube channel, similar to how it announced the tenth-generation iPad and M2 iPad Pro.
This 10-minute video had all the hallmarks of an Apple Event, featuring key company executives in a concise format. Last year, Apple used this approach to announce the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips and updates to the MacBook Pro and Mac mini.
Supercharged had exclusively reported in October that Apple planned media briefings for new iPad models. Although these briefings happened as predicted, they focused on refreshing the Apple Pencil with a USB-C port rather than unveiling new iPad devices.
