A Lidl supermarket in Greenwood, South Carolina, will be shutting down soon, a decision that has left many shoppers feeling upset.

Eric Outz, a customer, was unaware of the store's impending shutdown and planned to discuss it with a family member employed there. 'I think it's a good store,' he commented, expressing concern for the employees affected by this decision.
The store's closure has sparked reactions from other customers on online platforms like Reddit. One Reddit user from Greenwood, who has been a regular at Lidl for five years, shared their distress: 'I'm actually devastated. I go to that Lidl at least every week, sometimes twice.'
They added, 'It's better than basically every other grocery store in town, but people just stick to what they know,' highlighting a preference for familiar shopping destinations among locals.
