Fresno is on the verge of welcoming its first Nike Store, a promising addition for local sneaker enthusiasts. Named "Nike Unite," this eagerly anticipated store is located in River Park and will open its doors to the public on March 7.

New Nike Store Set to Open on Blackstone Avenue

Construction started last year on Blackstone Avenue, at the site of the old Macaroni Grill, paving the way for a new Nike store. According to River Park's website, this store will welcome customers seven days a week.

The only other Nike store in Central California is located at the Tulare Outlets, but that's set to change with the upcoming grand opening.

In a recent statement, company officials expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming opening of the new Nike Unite store. This store will feature a wide range of products catering to the entire family and focusing on sports performance, fitness, and lifestyle. The offerings include items from both Nike and Jordan brands.

Shoppers can expect to find a diverse selection, including bras and leggings, performance tops and bottoms, fleece and tees, and various performance and lifestyle footwear.

Additionally, the store will have a range of accessories to complement its apparel and footwear lines, ensuring a comprehensive shopping experience for all athletic and casual needs.

Nike Media Relations highlighted these diverse offerings, underlining the store's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its customers.

In related news, Nike Inc. has pledged $3.2 million over the next five years to help Native American and Indigenous youth get involved in football. The company is teaming up with several NFL teams for this initiative.

Nike has announced that each NFL team participating in this program will get $20,000 annually. This money is for working with local Indigenous nonprofits and other groups to support football programs for young people in Native American communities.

By collaborating with NFL teams, Nike aims to expand its support for Indigenous communities and youth nationally.

Nike has announced a significant contribution to support Indigenous youth in sports. Along with its financial commitment, the company has plans for a youth sports camp. Nike N7 will organize this camp, which will take place before the 2024 Super Bowl.

It will be hosted in collaboration with the Fort Mojave Tribal Nation and the Las Vegas Raiders, underlining the company's dedication to this cause.

In a recent example of this initiative, Nike highlighted its collaboration with the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings will use the funds provided by Nike to organize clinics and other activities to encourage Indigenous youth to play football.

Furthermore, Nike mentioned that the Vikings will donate equipment and offer special experiences to the local Native American community. These experiences include attending games and having VIP access to a training camp.

Nike's commitment to the Native American community is not new. The company is well-known for its annual N7 footwear and apparel collections, catering to top athletes and fashion-conscious consumers. The latest N7 collection, including the Cosmic Unity 3 N7 basketball shoe, is available on Nike.com.
