Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Goes Las Vegas

Dickey's Barbecue Pit opens in Las Vegas at 11:00 a.m. on Thurs., Oct. 2.

The latest Dickey's Barbecue Pit is owned by John Schouten who spent the past 7 years working for Ariat Boots before deciding to put up his own restaurant.

Schouten is hosting a three-day grand opening to jumpstart his new business venture, and is offering the first 50 customers gift cards valued at $50 each.

"I fell in love with the Dickey's Barbecue concept and I can't wait to meet our guests and serve them great barbecue," said first time franchise owner, John Schouten.

"I'm also looking forward to moving to Las Vegas where I have my parents and older brother nearby," the new owner of Dickey's Barbecue, Schotuen added.

On Fri., Oct. 3, Dickey's Barbecue pit will serve all-day merchandise freebies. And the following day, starting 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 in the afternoon, the restaurant's very own chairman, Mr. Dickey himself will be going to give out 100 autographed copies of T

Radio Station 97.1 The Point will also be present and covering the happenings at the event.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit will also choose one winner of a $500 gift card and three people to get the highly coveted free barbecue for a whole year.

The latest Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Las Vegas can be found at 6584 North Decataur Boulevard.

Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. was founded in 1941 by Travis Dickey. The restaurant is now the United States' largest barbecue chain with over 400 locations all over the country.

The family-friendly restaurant offers authentic slow-smoked barbecue, signature meats, and zesty barbecue sauce and home style sides and also serves free kids' meals every Sunday.

The fast-casual barbecue was dubbed as this year's "Top 10 Growth Chain" by Nation's Restaurant News and "Fastest-growing restaurant chain in the country" by Technomic.
