McDonald's Swaps Holiday Pie for Strawberry Delight
As the holiday season wraps up, McDonald's has phased out its seasonal Holiday Pie, making room for the return of a fan-favorite dessert. As confirmed by McDonald's USA to FOX Business, the fast food giant is reintroducing the Strawberry & Crème Pie for a limited period at select locations.
"Kick off the new year with sweetness at McDonald's by enjoying the Strawberry & Crème Pie! This delicious offering combines ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla flavored crème, encased together in a sweet, flaky crust," said a representative from McDonald's.
The Strawberry & Crème Pie, a special menu item, is now available for a short time at participating McDonald's outlets in various cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City, among others," announced the fast-food company.
While McDonald's classic baked Apple Pie remains a constant on the menu, some customers reminisce about when these pies were fried. The Strawberry & Crème Pie, a variation of the traditional apple version, offers a blend of strawberry and sweet cream, which many believe is a tastier option.

Fans Rave About McDonald's Strawberry Pie Return
Customers are flocking to social media to express their enthusiasm for McDonald's Strawberry Crème Pie. News about the return of McDonald's Strawberry & Crème Pie first emerged on Instagram, thanks to the snackolator account last week.
"Starting now, these pies are replacing the Holiday Pies and have already appeared in several markets. They are a much-anticipated limited-time offer," shared the snack-focused Instagram account on January 10.
"A top move by McDonald's was to reintroduce their strawberry crème pies," one fan expressed on social media.
"Absolutely delicious," another fan commented in agreement.
The Strawberry Crème Pie debuted in 2012 and sporadically featured on the menu over the following two years. In 2022, it unexpectedly disappeared from the menu without any official explanation.
"Begin the new year on a sweet note with McDonald's Strawberry & Crème Pie," a McDonald's representative said recently, highlighting its return.
In McDonald's October third-quarter earnings discussion, Chief Financial Officer Ian Borden emphasized the company's commitment to its main menu items, ensuring they are affordable for customers.
The D123 Everyday Value Menu in the U.S. aims to offer budget-friendly bundles with well-known products adjusted to local pricing. This menu includes items like the McDouble or the four-piece McNuggets.
By providing a value bundle for each mealtime, we ensure customers can enjoy an economical meal at McDonald's at any hour," explained Borden.
He also noted that while prices have changed, the key products on this value menu have stayed the same, offering customers the comfort of their well-liked choices from the main menu. "Our consistent value deals mean that customers always know what to expect when they visit, reinforcing our leading position as the most affordable option in the market," he concluded.
