Texas Roadhouse's Burger announces its plan for significant expansion, aiming to double its location by 2024.

The burger chain has quickly become one of the fastest-growing restaurant names in the country, a title it claimed in March. Its burger-focused, fast-casual offshoot, Jaggers, is also on the rise. Jaggers opened in Noblesville, Indiana, in 2014 and serves fresh-made burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and salads.

With eight locations in Louisville, Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; Southern Indiana; and Jacksonville, North Carolina, Jaggers is potentially set to double this count.

During a recent earnings call for the third quarter, Jerry Morgan, the CEO of Texas Roadhouse, shared plans for the company's growth. He mentioned that in 2024, they are planning to open three new Jaggers restaurants.

Additionally, Morgan noted that their franchise partners are expected to launch around nine recent locations internationally and within the country, including four Jaggers locations.

Next year, patrons could see seven new Jaggers restaurants, adding to 15. According to Nation's Restaurant News, Jaggers has been growing slowly, starting with only two locations in early 2020 and three by the end of the year.

In 2021, Jaggers made a deal with The Saxton Group to open ten restaurants in Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma, which are still being developed.

The pace picked up in 2022, with two more restaurants added and a new mobile app with a loyalty program launched. In 2023, Jaggers opened three more locations, making eight in total.

Kent Taylor, the founder of Texas Roadhouse who passed away, started Jaggers to offer burgers better than Five Guys, chicken tenders, and sandwiches that rival Raising Cane's and Chick-fil-A. This vision is detailed in his book, "Made from Scratch: The Legendary Success Story of Texas Roadhouse."

In a recent earnings call, Morgan shared that Texas Roadhouse plans to open 30 more restaurants and 33 Bubba's 33 locations next year. Bubba's 33, a sports bar under Texas Roadhouse, currently operates 45 locations in the US, while Texas Roadhouse itself has around 615 restaurants in the US and aims to increase to 900.
