Taco Bell is embarking on a fresh adventure with its latest offering, Taco Bell's New Line of Frozen Drinks. This week marks the debut of this innovative selection, with the brand set to introduce Coffee Chillers and Churro Chillers in selected Southern California outlets.
The company's recent announcement indicates that these beverages represent Taco Bell's inaugural venture into frozen coffee and shakes. Eager fans can look forward to trying these new flavors starting December 15.
Taco Bell's New Line of Frozen Drinks: "Craveable Mexican-Inspired"
Taco Bell's new chillers, available in 16-ounce cups, boast flavors deeply rooted in Mexican tradition. The Coffee Chillers blend icy coffee with three distinctive tastes: Mexican Chocolate, Caramel Churro, and Spiced Vanilla, all finished with a smooth layer of cold foam.
As for the Churro Chillers, they are sweet, blended shakes offered in various flavors, including Mexican Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Coffee, Wild Strawberry, and Sweet Vanilla. These delightful beverages are crowned with cold foam and crunchy churro pieces, adding a unique twist to the experience.
In a recent statement, Taco Bell's U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Taylor Montgomery, highlighted the brand's dedication to innovation and meeting customer desires. "We're continually innovating to bring bold, Mexican-inspired flavors that our fans expect from us.
These new frozen drinks demonstrate our commitment to innovation," said Montgomery. He expressed excitement about providing fans with a frozen option that rivals their favorite menu items in terms of taste and appeal.
The flavor swirls add a visual appeal to the drinks, bringing a vibrant touch to the coffees and milkshakes. For example, the Sweet Vanilla Churro Chiller is distinguished by its striking purple swirl.

Taco Bell is testing Coffee and Frozen Drinks
This year, Taco Bell has been actively experimenting with new menu items. The chain trialed a Vegan Crunchwrap in cities known for their vegan communities, including Los Angeles, New York City, and Orlando.
In August, a unique Baja Blast-flavored gelato was tested at an Irvine, California, location. More recently, in Minneapolis, Taco Bell tested Chicken Nuggets seasoned with spiced jalapeño buttermilk and fried. These nuggets garnered positive feedback, even sparking comparisons with McDonald's Chicken Nuggets on social media.
Taco Bell, already offering coffee drinks, is venturing into new territory with frozen blended beverages, aiming to create a unique experience akin to the popular Starbucks Frappuccino. The chain's renewed focus on breakfast includes recent additions like Toasted Breakfast Tacos and a test of Breakfast Tots in Chicago.
Introducing Coffee Chillers and Churro Chillers is part of Taco Bell's strategy to expand its menu to appeal to customers seeking indulgent options throughout the day. These new items are seen as a potential link between breakfast fare and all-day treats.
Taco Bell's newly introduced frozen drinks will be available at two specific locations: 27770 Santa Margarita Parkway in Viejo, California, and 2222 Barranca Parkway in Irvine, California. These beverages, priced at $4.19, are offered for a limited period and are subject to availability.
Set to appear on menus this week; the Coffee and Churro Chillers represent the latest in Taco Bell's series of innovative menu tests for 2023.
