Burger King is reviving fan-favorite menu items, bringing back the highly sought-after Cheesy Tots just in time for the holiday season. These beloved, golden, cheese-stuffed bites will be available nationwide starting the first week of December.

Since their initial introduction in 2016, the Cheesy Tots have become a much-anticipated item, frequently appearing and disappearing from the menu, much to the delight of Burger King enthusiasts.

The buzz continues as Burger King brings back the BK Melts, adding a creative spin to their traditional burgers. Initially trialed in select locations earlier this year, these burgers, featuring round, toasted bread, quickly became fan favorites.

Now, they're making a widely awaited return. In addition, Burger King is enhancing their menu with an exciting, brand-new melt variant.

Burger King is embracing the holiday season by reintroducing two cheesy favorites starting December 7: the BK Melts and Cheesy Tots, available for a limited time at participating locations.

This festive offering coincides with a series of digital exclusives throughout December. Royal Perks members can enjoy daily deals via the BK App from December 1 to 31.

These include complimentary food items on certain days, $3 Whopper sandwiches every Wednesday, and unique Burger King-themed merchandise such as a BK Edition Plufl, ugly sweaters, ornaments, stockings, scarves, and beanies, with proceeds supporting the Burger King Foundation.

For its 31 Days of Deals, Burger King is reintroducing two popular menu items: the BK Melts and Cheesy Tots. Following their earlier success this year, the BK Melts are returning with three appealing options, including the new Shroom n' Swiss Melt, which has been well-received in-market tests.

The Classic Melt includes two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. Patties, American cheese, caramelized onions, and Stacker Sauce, all sandwiched between toasted bread slices. The Bacon Melt adds crispy bacon to this mix. The new Shroom n' Swiss Melt features Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and other ingredients.

Additionally, Cheesy Tots are back for the first time since 2021. These bite-sized snacks, filled with cheese and available in four or eight-piece servings, offer a warm and tasty option for Burger King guests.

Burger King began its $400 million "Reclaim the Flame." comeback in September 2022.

In a press release, parent Restaurant Brand International Inc. (RBI) said it would spend $150 million on advertising and digital to 'Fuel the Flame' and $250 million on a 'Royal Reset' that included restaurant technology, kitchen equipment, building enhancements, and high-quality remodels and relocations.

In RBI's third-quarter earnings call, Executive Chairman Patrick Doyle said the plan had performed better than predicted.

"In the US [Burger King President Tom Curtis's] team and franchisees are focused on operational execution and image modernization," he said. "We're one year into the 'Reclaim the Flame' plan and frankly made more progress improving franchisee profitability and traffic in this one year than originally expected."

The chain's "Reclaim the Flame" campaign involves menu upgrades to win back lapsed consumers, Wendy's and McDonald's brand fans.
