McDonald's has announced plans to implement 50 changes across its menu, focusing mainly on its renowned Big Mac burger.

These modifications aim to enhance the fast-food giant's competitive edge against the growing popularity of other restaurant chains

McDonald's Big Mac Makeover: "Best Burgers Ever"

As part of their advertising effort, McDonald's has put up billboards that say, "Our best burgers ever." Many changes have been made to the famous Big Mac's ingredients and look.

McDonald's is said to have been working on a better burger since 2016. It was tested in Australia and will be available all over the US.

The Wall Street Journal says the new version will have two smaller cooked all-beef burgers and more special sauce.

Also, these patties will be cooked in smaller groups so that the sear and juices are more evenly distributed. The cheese will melt better, and the greens and pickles will be fresher.

Lastly, the signature bun will be a brioche bun with sesame seeds spread out in different places to make the burger feel more like it was made at home.

McDonald's will be able to compete with the well-known restaurant chain Five Guys, recognized for its burgers, hot dogs, and french fries, with the aid of the redesigned Big Mac.

The Covid-19 pandemic did not significantly impact McDonald's sales, as the chain disclosed a profit of $6.2 billion in the previous year. The fast-food giant will attempt to reduce the effects of a declining economy and increasing rivalry with these modifications.

Chris Young, senior director of global menu strategy at McDonald's, stated that the chain could enhance food quality due to these modifications.

"Although it can be accomplished quickly, safely, and efficiently, it may not taste excellent. Young expressed the desire to integrate quality into their current state.

Meanwhile, Chef Chad Schafer has devoted the past seven years to refining the new burger patties at the McDonald's headquarters in Chicago.

Schafer made one double cheeseburger based on the fast food chain's old standard and one in a new way.

He said, "One is hotter." "It looks more melty. See how my fingers fit into the bun? It smells very different. He said the old recipe for McDonald's burgers was "kind of dry."

"This one is a bit dry." "It breaks," he said. "And this is the best-case example at headquarters."

Chris Young, senior director of global menu strategy at McDonald's, stated that the chain could enhance food quality due to these modifications.

"Although it can be accomplished quickly, safely, and efficiently, it may not taste excellent. Young expressed the desire to integrate quality into their current state.

Initial testing of the new burger patties occurred in Australia; they are anticipated to be available in the United States by early 2024. The Journal reported that the West Coast and the Midwest will be the first regions of McDonald's 13,460 locations to offer the new sandwiches.
