A limited-edition Adult Happy Meal from McDonald's will have a new take on the beloved McNugget buddy toys from the 1980s and 1990s.
This new version claims to be a mix of memories and modern style, making it a treat for the famous brand's latest and longtime fans.
Kevin Frost, a comedian and talk show host, has teamed up with the fast food company to add a new item to their menu. He wants to return the classic McNugget Buddies toys to adult McDonald's enthusiasts.
McDonald's Adulty Happy Meal, "The Frost Way"
In recent news, McDonald's and Kerwin Frost introduced the "Frost Way," which encourages acceptance and individuality.
The new Kerwin Frost Box includes six updated McNugget Buddy figures. Each comes with trading cards showing off their personality and favorite dipping sauces. Customers can eat a 10-piece McNuggets or a Big Mac with fries and a drink while looking at these souvenirs.
McDonald's has unveiled six unique McNugget Buddies, each thoughtfully designed by Frost. Frost, dubbed the Mayor of Frost Way, is leading the pack, known for his unwavering support for the Buddies and his love for art and neighborhood upkeep.
Don Bernice, the Wise Stylist and fashion guru of Frost Way, is Joining him, who designs the Buddies' outfits and imparts valuable, kind advice. More so, Uptown Moe, the Neighborhood Hero, is famed for his straightforward, street-smart persona and inspiring impromptu speeches.
Meanwhile, Waffutu, the Curious Optimist raised by the community, is a beacon of positivity, capable of turning gloom into joy. While Brick is the Cool Guy, he is an adventurous soul, fond of puns, new experiences, and techno music, maintaining his cool even under pressure.
Lastly, there's Darla, the Dreamer, a soft-spoken yet confident singer who manages the local McDonald's in Frost Way while chasing her dreams of stardom with "The Frostettos."
McDonald's Adult Happy Meal, a Dream Come True
Frost emphasized that the partnership with McDonald's is his dream come true.
"I've loved McDonald's since I was a kid. I even had my own Ronald McDonald doll that I brought to picture day at school, and it was my dream to collect all the McNugget Buddies," Frost said in a statement, per AdAge.
He added that coming up with his unique set of Buddies, each representing various aspects of self-expression, seems unreal and a dream come true.
Beginning December 11 and while stocks last, the Kerwin Frost Box of McNugget Buddies will be sold at particular McDonald's locations. Different places will have different prices, but most sales will go to Harlem Arts Alliance. This "New York-based nonprofit organization plays a vital role in the lives of emerging and established artists."
Frost also has plans for a drop of McDonald's x Kerwin Frost merchandise, including the McNugget Buddy line and Fry Guy clogs, which the Kerwin Frost Buddy is wearing. On December 11, you can also buy those things at kerwinfrost.com.
In 1988, the McNugget Buddies came out with ten unique characters: First Class McNugget, Drummer McNugget, Sarge McNugget, Sparky McNugget, Rocker McNugget, Volley McNugget, Boomerang McNugget, Cowpoke McNugget, Snorkel McNugget, and Corny McNugget.
