Now that Black Friday is over, everyone talks about Small Business Saturday. It is great to think big, shop small, and support your favorite small businesses for the holidays.

The event on November 25 is part of a nationwide push to help small businesses that can not compete with big stores advertising Black Friday deals.

It's also a way for store owners to make extra money while customers spend it in nearby stores.

Wired staff across the U.S. wanted to highlight some of their favorite small businesses with the online marketplace. Here are some small businesses to support in celebrating Small Business Saturday 2023.

Many local shops, companies, and restaurants are struggling with post-COVID inflation.

This Holiday season, purchasing local businesses for unique presents like artisan chocolates, jewelry, and home décor is crucial.

Despite being on more firm ground, several surviving small businesses are struggling with supply chain challenges, workforce shortages, and inflation. "Small businesses have faced the gauntlet over the last few years," says Joe Black, Intuit's director of product and commerce, who works with small and medium product-based businesses.

He added that they face these tremendous hurdles while competing with larger enterprises with higher budgets.

According to Black, despite these challenges, small firms adapt to changing conditions and modify their business strategies to reach more clients. E-commerce and social media are their primary focus, indicating that they are investing in becoming omnichannel, available to customers across shopping platforms and modalities.
