McDonald's has announced that the new Chicken Big Mac will soon be available in US locations, starting on October 10. This new version of the classic Big Mac uses tempura-battered chicken instead of the usual beef patties.

It still has all the other familiar ingredients like the special sauce, pickles, shredded lettuce, American cheese, and a sesame seed bun. The Chicken Big Mac was first tested in the US in 2022 at a few Miami locations, and it originally came out in the UK.

McDonald's Introduces New Menu Items

Now, it's being released for a limited time in the US, but only while supplies last. The price is expected to be about $5.50, although it might be different depending on where you are, said CBS News.

McDonald's has been focusing more on chicken lately because it has become a huge part of their business. In fact, McDonald's CEO, Chris Kempczinski, recently shared that chicken sales have become just as big as their beef sales.

He said, "Our chicken sales are now on par with beef," showing how important chicken has become to McDonald's menu.

This new focus on chicken is part of McDonald's plan to bring in more customers with new menu items and affordable meals. In September, McDonald's extended its $5 value meal through December at most locations in the US.

This is the second time they've extended the deal. Many other fast-food chains like Popeyes, Dunkin', Burger King, and Taco Bell have also been offering value meals as people are eating out less often.

Tariq Hassan, who is McDonald's Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer in the US, said, "With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we're excited to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans."

To help promote the new sandwich, McDonald's has already started some fun events. Last weekend, the company held a pop-up dining event in Los Angeles called "McDonell's."

There, customers got an early preview of the Chicken Big Mac, which has two chicken patties, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and the famous Big Mac sauce. This event got people excited ahead of the sandwich's official release.

Kai Cenat Joins McDonald's to Promote the Chicken Big Mac

McDonald's is also teaming up with popular social media star Kai Cenat to promote the Chicken Big Mac. Kai, who is a big fan of the regular Big Mac, will host a livestream on McDonald's social media channels where he and his friends will try out the new sandwich and share their reactions. This interactive campaign is aimed at getting more attention for the Chicken Big Mac.

The Chicken Big Mac isn't the only new thing McDonald's has been working on. Earlier in 2023, they brought back the Double Big Mac, which has four beef patties instead of the usual two. This bigger version of the Big Mac was priced around $7 and was only available for a short time, but it was really popular while it lasted.

McDonald's also announced that later this year, they will release a new, bigger burger called "The Big Arch." This burger is already available in Canada and will soon be in the US, according to MailOnline.

The Big Arch is a large burger with two beef patties, fresh onions, processed white cheese, pickles, and lettuce, all topped with a special "tangy" sauce. The burger has 1,030 calories and 66 grams of fat, making it a filling meal for people looking for something hearty.
