Join the Mile High Club with The Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger now available at Carl's Jr. and Hardee's.
The mammoth burger features quality thick Applewood-smoked bacon on top of a grilled Black Angus "Thickburger" patty, complemented with American cheese, red onion, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, sandwiched on a freshly-baked burger bun.
Fans who love bacon can get a taste of the delicious burger at all Hardee's and Carl's Jr. Branches starting today, Sept. 24.
"You can never have too much of a good thing, and for most people, that good thing is bacon," said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer at Carl's Jr. and Hardee's.
"But, we aren't using just any kind of bacon. We're using a hefty serving of thick-cut, Applewood-smoked bacon pieces, and we're piling it on top of your choice of a 1/3- or 1/2-lb. charbroiled, 100 percent Black Angus beef patty, along with a slice of melting American cheese, crisp red onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo, and serving it all on one of our signature Fresh Baked Buns. This burger is bursting with bacon goodness in every bite," teases Haley.
The Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger can be bought in two varieties: 1/3-lb or ½ lb.
The Black Angus beef patty will cost $5.59 and can be partnered with fries and drink.
The restaurant chains hired actress and model Bar Paly promote the burger in a national ad campaign showing next week on TV and the brands' Youtube Channel.
Paly takes the role of a wife who asks her on-set husband to join her in the Mile High Club.
The ad named, "Propositioning" was produced by LA and Amsterdam-based creative firm 72and Sunny.
Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are both the daughter company of CKE Restaurant Holdings, Inc.
The company, known for Black Angus Thickburgers and Made from Scratch Biscuits boasts of 3,532 franchised and company-owned restaurants across 42 states and 31 countries.
