MetroPCS will be expanding into ten new markets while doubling its high-speed allotments with the help of T-Mobile, Fierce Wireless reports.
Chattanooga, Tenn.; Chicago; Kansas City, Mo.; Milwaukee, Wisc.; Minneapolis-St. Paul; Norfolk-Portsmouth-Newport News, Va.; Salt Lake City; St. Louis; and Yakima-Pasco-Richland-Kennewick, Wash., are the areas which are expected to receive expansion efforts.
MetroPCS has expanded from 6,000 points of sale in 15 metropolitan areas to almost 11,000 points of sale in 55 metropolitan areas, Fierce Wireless also reports.
MetroPCS, which was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, is working closely with T-Mobile to expand network efforts.
The franchise has received added attention in recent years for its low-cost mobile devices and plans.
