Popular franchise chain 7-Eleven is hosting an upcoming seminar for rising entrepreneurs-the event is free of charge.
The event will take place on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the 7-Eleven Training Center in West Seneca, New York, the Niagara-Wheatfield Tribune reports.
Attendees will be briefed on the company's marketing strategies, business plans and overall franchise model. The company is also targeting individuals who are looking to undertake an entrepreneurial career in franchising, specifically those who are retired or may be looking for alternative forms of income.
7-Eleven is hosting the event in commemoration of its 50th year as a franchising organization-the company's first few stories were acquired in 1964, thrusting it into California and eventually around the world.
In recent years, 7-Eleven has also come under fire for its allegedly illegal hiring of undocumented workers, especially in Long Island, New York.
