New Orleans-based restaurant franchise Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has appointed Hector Muñoz as its chief marketing officer (CMO), bringing his career with the chain to a new level.
Muñoz began working with Popeyes in 2011 after working for over ten years with Burger King, AdWeek reports-he will work directly under chief brands experience officer Dick Lynch to produce new advertising campaigns.
The newly-appointed CMO was at the forefront of 17 consecutive quarters of positive same-store Popeyes sales throughout his tenure, the site also reports.
"Hector has proven to be instrumental in driving 17 consecutive quarters of positive same store sales at Popeyes," Lynch said in a news release, according to QSR Web.
"He has successfully demonstrated his leadership capabilities, executing our promotional calendar, increasing our social media presence and managing the team and multiple agencies that support these efforts. He was also the architect of the recently announced Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. We have great confidence in Hector's ability to continue to help us achieve our marketing goals and are so pleased to announce his promotion."
Popeyes was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1972 by Al Copeland.
