Foo Fighters Tour Schedule has just gotten busier with an unusual gig that the American band recently signed up for. Dave Grohl and the band have agreed to play in a concert that was organized without their consent. On September 17, expect rock music fans to flock the Richmond's National Theater in Virginia as the Foo Fighters is set to grace a show that was started as a crowdfunding campaign.
According to a report by the Rolling Stone, the band supported the petition made by Andrew Goldin. The petition was called Crowdtilt Open and encouraged people to buy tickets for a Foo Fighters concert even if the band itself hasn't signed up on it.
The petition said:
“The Foo Fighters haven't rocked Richmond, VA in more than 15 years. So to convince them to come back, we're selling 1400 tix to a Foo Fighters show that doesn't exist (yet). AND IT'S WORKING! The band knows about our efforts, and we're getting tons of national and regional press. Remember, there is nothing to lose. Credit cards are only charged if the show sells out and even then, if the band doesn't play everyone gets all their money back. Every penny. Buy your tix today!”
In his mission statement, Goldin said that starting a crowdfunding is much better than waiting for their favourite artist to come to their hometown. He thinks that Richmond will find its way to Foo Fighters Tour schedule if they'll work on it.
“We're selling tix to a Foo Fighters concert that the band doesn't have scheduled yet in the hopes that they'll come to our great city and play a show. Then if the band comes we all rock out. If they don't come, everyone gets their money back. Every cent. So buy your tix, spread the word, and let's make some rock-n-roll history."
Their efforts indeed paid off as Foo Fighters Tour Schedule has now included the Richmond's National Theater scheduled September 17th. The band announced that they are cool with the schedule.
