Wal-Mart Wild Oats: New Products to Arrive in Stores

Wild Oat salsa, pasta sauce, quinoa or goosefoot, and chicken broths will begin showing up in Wal-Mart stores in April following an announcement Thursday a press release reported.

"We know our customers are interested in purchasing organic products and, traditionally, those customers have had to pay more," Jack Sinclair, executive vice president of grocery for Wal-Mart's United States locations. "We are changing that and creating a new price position for organic groceries that increases access. This is part of our ongoing effort to use our scale to deliver quality, affordable groceries to our customers," Sinclair said in the statement. "At Walmart, we are focused on offering customers choice. We know our customers count on us to provide them with affordable access to all of the groceries they are looking for. Organics are no exception."

The new arrangement provides healthier products that a larger amount of people might be able to buy as part of brands under the names Wild Oats Marketplace Organic, Wild Oats Marketplace, and Wild Oats Marketplace Originals.

The marketplace organic selections have 15 ounce cans of vegetables, paprika, curry powder for $.88 the press release reported. There are alsoi two ounce containers of ground cinnamon as low as $2.48 the press release reported.

The Wild Oats Marketplace has 5.8 ounce meals for $1.50 that are ready for the kettle or pot with basic ingredients among others.

The marketplace originals array has distinctive products, which will be available in the latter part of 2014 the press release reported.

"By partnering with Wal-Mart, Wild Oats is starting a movement that makes it easier than ever for customers to access affordable organic and natural products," Tom Casey, CEO at Wild Oats said in a statement. "Our availability at Wal-Mart will allow us to finally pass along scalable savings directly to consumers. We are reinvigorating our brand by bringing great tasting Wild Oats products to more customers than ever before," Casey said in the statement.

Wal-Mart sells a variety of product, dairy, and wrapped food products the press release reported.
