Ice cream lovers are in luck Tuesday with free cone day at Ben and Jerry's in honor of an annual occurrence of the two original owner's celebration of their first year on the job a press release reported.
Ben Cohen, and Jerry Greenfield gave out the free cones to customers lined up outside after they reached the anniversary of their initial year in business following the first of their 35 years in business thus far.
"There is no better way to celebrate these worthwhile community non-profit partners than by using our biggest and best celebration of the year, Free Cone Day, as a way to shine the light on their efforts," Dave Stever chief marketing officer at Ben Jerry's said in a statement.
Customers can get a salted caramel blondie that has blonde brownies with a salted caramel swirl, a hazed and confused cone which has hazelnut, various chocolate ice creams, fudge chips, and hazelnut fudge swirl, or cotton candy with cotton candy ice cream with abundant amounts of cotton candy the press release reported.
Ben and Jerry's hopes to sell over one million cones throughout all of its locations taking part in the offer from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Cohen and Greenfield started their endeavor in 1978 in a gas station in Burlington, VT that was being upgraded. The two then ventured to other locations according to information on the company's website.
According to the company's website, Cohen and Greenfield had $12,000, with $4,000 loaned out at the very beginning.
Ben and Jerry's others flavors has other flavors included in the celebration such as AmeriCone Dream, Banana Split, Boston Cream Pie, and Cake Batter the website information said.
