Tasks are starting to take shape for Apple's iPhone 6 release that could come as soon as Sept The Nikkei Asian Review reported.
LCD screen makers are slated to begin creating the parts between April and June at Sharp's factory in Kameyama, Japan, Japan Display Cos plant facility in Mobara, Japan, and additional places including a sapphire glass plant in Arizona.
"Apple is indisputably one of the world's most innovative companies and I'm thrilled to welcome them to Arizona," Jan Brewer, governor of Arizona told PC Magazine in November. "Apple will have an incredibly positive economic impact for Arizona and its decision to locate here speaks volumes about the friendly, pro-business climate we have been creating these past four years. (Apple's) investment in renewable energy will also be greening our power grid, and creating significant new solar and geothermal power sources for the state," Brewer told PC Magazine.
The phones screen is expected to come in 4.7 inch, and 5.5 inch sizes, all in the new material.
Apple released the iPhone 5S, and iPhone 5C at the same time, but ended up scaling back production on the 5C version for fear that it would hurt sales of the more upscale iPhone 5, which was in short supply, and experienced delays three months after it reportedly sold out following its Sept. 21 release.
The iPhone 5C is $100 less expensive than the premium 5S with an initial price at $649 for the 16 gigabyte model.
The company has also unveiled a new selection of iPads. These include the iPad Air, and iPad Mini.
The iPad Mini, which starts at $389 has of 9.7-inch product features a high definition screen, and a slender, and less heavy design product at 20 percent less material than its older models at a weight of one pound. It is available for $499 and up according to Bloomberg.
The $499 iPad Air, which Apple introduced last month also has an A7 processing chip. This gives the device a faster speed, and an M7, just like the ones the company's iPhone 5s smartphones have.
