Samsung's Galaxy S5 is off to a good start--and it hasn't even been released yet. Rumors about the smartphone's new features have run rampant. Now, though, there may be a few answers when it comes to a few specific components.
Just a few days before Samsung's Unpacked event at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, sources are revealing more information about the possible new features. According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S5 will feature a fingerprint sensor, something that would place it in the same realm as the iPhone. The scanning technology makes it easier and faster for users to secure their smartphones.
"We would also like to confirm that Samsung hasn't opted for on-screen buttons and is still using physical buttons, like it has been using in the past on all of its flagship devices," the SamMobile site stated, according to PCMag.
That's not all Galaxy S5 will features, though. According to SF Gate, the phone will also have a larger 5.2-inch screen and a sharper display than the current Galaxy, S4. It will also have an improved battery and camera, which may just place it ahead of the new iPhone 6, which is due to be released later this year.
In fact, some believe that the Galaxy S5 may just have better specs than the possible iPhone 6. Since the Galaxy is being released earlier, it will also have a leg-up on the competition.
For now, though, we'll have to wait for the conference in Barcelona on Feb. 24. Until then, any leaks are pure speculation. But at the moment, it's looks as if the Galaxy S5 is shaping up to be quite the smartphone.
