Paula Deen's collaboration with Nafaji Co., will help the one-woman mogul restore her business endeavors Bloomberg Businessweek reported Thursday.
"We are honored to take the Nanco generations of experience and bring our favorite recipes from our family to your own," Paula Deen said in a statement in a press release on her website. "Working with Nanco, we have generations of experience and knowledge from our most important partners - the grocery retailers that will enable us to bring the best value possible to those who love our recipes," Deen said in the statement.
This includes Paula Deen Ventures, that consists of Paula Deen Foods, Paula Deen Media, Paula Deen Restaurants, Paula Deen Cookware and Paula Deen Home Bloomberg Businessweek reported Thursday.
Steven Nanula currently principal at New York's Nanco Group will be the man in charge of the entity the press release reported.
"We are joining forces with Paula Deen, one of the industry's most successful brands, to raise things to new levels," Nanula said in a statement."The passion to bring her joy of cooking to those around the world is magical and we look forward to sharing the love that is Paula Deen."
Deen made her first public appearance at a Texas cooking show in September, since a scandal halted her career. The celebrity chef told the 1,400 people in the audience at Houston's Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show there was no other state where she would want to make her first step at a comeback ABC News reported.
The appearance was also three months after she asked America for forgiveness for using a racial slur, and saw her brand suffer this past summer. The case started after Lisa Jackson, who worked for Deen at her restaurant Lady and Sons in Savannah, Ga., sued the chef for racial and sexual discrimination ABC News reported.
A federal judge in Georgia has since dismissed the racial discrimination claims made against Deen. This led to her and Jackson reaching a settlement. Because of the case, many companies ended deals with Deen such as Smithfield, Wal-Mart, Target, and Home Depot ABC News reported.
