Hostess fanatics can find the brands infamous dessert products in Big Lots stores.
Hostess closed all 600 of its thrift stores this past summer before recently deciding to make the changes a press release from Big Lots reported.
"The Thrift Outlets were extremely popular," David Campisi, CEO at Big Lots said in a statement. "We are thrilled to team up with this iconic brand and give customers a new destination to find outstanding savings on the products they know and love," Campisi said in a statement.
Hostess products will come to Big Lot stores each week, and include twinkies, cupcakes, zingers, and fruit pies.
Customers can buy the treats at 40 percent off the suggested retail price the press release reported.
"The assortments will be different each week and will vary by store," Andy Stein, senior vice president, and chief customer officer at Hostess said in a statement. "Customers who want the best selection will need to get there early and often. Like we say about the great deals found at Big Lots, when they're gone, they're gone," Stein said in the statement.
Big Lots is promoting the new partnership through a social media effort using the hastag #thriftisback the press release reported.
A YouTube video, and movement from O'Keefe Reinhard and Paul, an advertising agency in Chicago are also being used to promote the products.
"There is a tremendous hunger for the Hostess brand and for saving money at Big Lots. We plan to welcome Twinkies in a big way."
Twinkies were back on store shelves July 15 after being removed in November because Hostess and employees in its bakery workers union could not settle an issue about pay and benefits CNN Money reported.
Big Lots has 1,493 stores in 48 states the press release reported.
