Ryan Gosling To Star In ‘Rambo’ Remake? Sylvester Stallone Chose The Actor To Play His Role

| By

One of the reasons why Sylvester Stallone became a famous Hollywood star is because of the "Rambo" and "Rocky" franchise.

There were reports that the 69-year-old actor is planning to hand over his role of Rocky Balboa to Michael B. Jordan, who recently starred as The Human Torch in "Fantastic Four."

Stallone and Jordan will be appearing in the film "Creed;" and the young actor will be playing the son of the veteran actor who trains him to become a boxer.

During the promotion of his upcoming film, Sly was asked who he wanted to play John Rambo and his answer surprised many people because they were expecting someone buffed and muscular.

According to Cinema Blend, Sylvester Stallone chose Ryan Gosling to continue his legacy in a possible "Rambo" remake. During an interview with the website, "The Notebook" star was asked if he has heard the news that he is being eyed as the next John Rambo.

The 35-year-old actor was reportedly surprised and asked the interviewer whether Stallone really said that.

"That would be incredible. He is one of my favorite actors," Gosling said as reported by Ace Showbiz.

"The fact that he knows my name is exciting. He's the best. I'm genuinely touched that he said that. If you're lying you're an awful person."

Before we see Ryan Gosling in a possible "Rambo" remake, Stallone has hinted that he may reprise his role in a fifth installment called "Rambo: Last Blood."

He is reportedly writing a screenplay for that so it may take a while. Sylvester is slated to appear in "The Expendables 4" in 2017 and they will start shooting next year.

The screen heartthrob, on the other hand, will be appearing in an untitled "Blade Runner" film alongside Harrison Ford in 2016 and has just finished filming "La La Land" with Emma Stone.

Maybe Ryan Gosling will star alongside Sylvester Stallone in the fifth installment in preparation for the "Rambo" remake.
