There were reports that Liam Hemsworth is dating his "Independence Day 2" co-star Maika Monroe, but it seems that he's still open to seeing other women including Megan Fox.
The 29-year-old actress filed for a divorce on her estranged husband Brian Austin Green last August which means that she is now free to date anyone she wants.
According to Hollywood Life, the brunette beauty and Aussie hunk have a crush on each other and they never expected take things to the next level.
Both celebrities have the same trainer so they always bump into each other at the gym and that's when sparks flew between Megan and Liam.
"Liam's shy," an insider told Star. "He tried to play it cool but he couldn't stop blushing the first time Megan chatted him up. Of course, she was still with Brian Austin Green at the time so nothing came of it."
Despite the awkward first encounter, the 25-year-old actor pursued the actress.
"They made plans to get together soon, maybe even break a sweat with a class," their source said.
However, the insider warned the screen heartthrob that the former "Beverly Hills 90210" star also works out at the same gym so things could get ugly if he catches the two flirting.
Despite the split up, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green remained good friends for the sake of their children. They were last seen at the Pumpkin Patch in Sherman Oaks, California together with Noah and Bodhi.
Liam Hemsworth, on the other hand, has nothing but good things to say about his ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus. The two fell in love on the set of "The Last Song" and got engaged in 2012. Unfortunately, they called it quits in 2013 but managed to remain good friends.
During a recent interview with Men's Fitness, "The Hunger Games" star hinted that he still has feelings for the 22-year-old singer. "You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage," Hemsworth said then laughed.
"I mean, look-we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling," the actor explained. "It really was an important part of my life and always will be."
However, Liam's love for Miley may not be enough to get back with her because she may be too hard to handle. "She's a free spirit," he said. "I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."
Maybe Liam Hemsworth prefers a more private person like Megan Fox that's why he got attracted to Brian Austin Green's estranged wife.
