Many people are excited to see Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert reunite at the CMA Awards since this will be the first time that the former husband and wife will be seen at the same event after their divorce.
According to Hollywood Life, they both confirmed their attendance at the music awards which means that there's a big chance that they will bump into each other.
During an appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyer," the 39-year-old musician revealed how he felt about the possible encounter with his ex-wife as reported PEOPLE. "This year is going to be awkward at the CMAs, speaking of jokes," he confessed.
"[Country music] is such a family. Everybody there are friends, you know? There's gotta be a joke about me and Miranda. [Co-host] Brad Paisley is not doing his job if he doesn't look down there and go, 'Haha!' I mean, he's gotta do it," Shelton added.
Seth Meyer also asked Blake if he is ready for the divorce jokes. "You have to address the elephant in the room," the country singer replied. "We've had the conversations, like, 'Okay, dude, I will go sit there and let you kick me in the face a few times. I know it's coming, you know."
After Blake Shelton's divorce from Miranda Lambert got finalized, he has been linked to his "The Voice" co-star Gwen Stefani.
There were even rumors that he got engaged to the 46-year-old rocker chick. However, it seems that he is more interested in Rihanna who served as a mentor to the contestants a few weeks ago.
"She's such a smart ass," the musician described the 27-year-old singer. "I'm like, 'Oh my God, I'm totally going to push this girl around with my crazy wit. I never could get the upper hand with her. The only thing I could embarrass her about a little bit was ... because I was trying to get her to be flirty, a little bit. I mean, why not? I mean, I'm a perfect match for Rihanna," he confidently added.
Blake Shelton has even come up with a few nicknames for him and the "Diamonds" hitmaker. "I was coming up with our couple name. Blihanna was one of them. I tried Rake," he said.
Maybe this is a sign that he has moved on from Miranda Lambert - being able to take on jokes and flirt with other women.
