One of the most significant characters in "Deadpool" aside from Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson is Colossus.
Daniel Cudmore was supposed to star as the Russian mutant, but he turned down the offer of Tim Miller. Despite that, there are no hard feelings between the director and the actor.
"I did get a call for Colossus but it was CGI/stunts and not using my voice so I graciously passed. Love to play him in the future as an actor," the 34-year-old actor wrote on Twitter.
"Really looking forward to @deadpoolmovie as I was such a fan of the leaked script and can't wait to see what Tim Miller did with it," he added.
Colossus is now played by Andre Tricoteux in "Deadpool" and the towering actor has appeared in the "Seventh Son" and can next be seen in "Kindergarten Cop 2" and "Warcraft."
His built is perfect for the role with a height of six feet and ten inches.
During an interview with Tech Times, the former stuntman revealed what fans can expect from his character in the upcoming Marvel movie.
"The Colossus you're going to see in 'Deadpool' is very true to the original character in the comic book," Tricoteux said.
"[Director] Tim Miller had a really clear vision, and the 'Deadpool' people had a really clear vision of what they wanted. They wanted Colossus to be very traditional to the original story," he further explained.
Andre Tricoteux also hinted a possible standalone film for Colossus in the future.
"I think people will get a better sense of who he is. But I think there's still a lot more to be told about him," he said. "Colossus has been around in the comics since the '70s, so I mean, I think you could do your own movie on him."
The towering actor shared his experience working with Ryan Reynolds in "Deadpool." "Ryan's just an unbelievable talent, and he's just a genuine guy, and he's really, really gracious and helpful with his fellow actors," he said.
"You know, he's just a smart, talented, like crazy-talented guy. It was really something to see him in this movie. He knocked this one out of the park. This is going to be a home run for him," the actor added.
