‘Deadpool’ Director Tim Miller Revealed Why Ryan Reynolds Doesn't Have To Remove His Mask

| By

Those who are tired of watching typical superhero films should definitely watch Ryan Reynolds' upcoming film "Deadpool" since it will be different from its kind. According to ComicBook.com, most comic book fans complain about live-action versions because the character's identity is often exposed - either the actor removes his mask or it gets torn up.

The producer or director's intention is commonly to show the emotion of the superhero or to reveal the face of the actor that played the character. However, this won't ever happen in Tim Miller's upcoming movie. During a guest appearance on Adi Shankar's show, the director revealed the reason why Ryan Reynolds doesn't have to remove his mask.

"If Deadpool were a different type of character, it would be difficult to portray emotion," Miller explained. "But Deadpool is running at the mouth the whole time. You almost don't need to see his face because he's telling you how he feels constantly."

Since the 38-year-old actor will be wearing the red and black suit most of the time, then creating a perfect costume is really essential. A few months ago, Reynolds revealed how hard they worked on the suit. "Here's the thing with the Deadpool costume, we fought like hell to get that as though it jumped right out of the comic," he told ComicBook.com.

"Our goal was to make this the most faithful comic book to movie adaptation fans have ever seen. That's hard to accomplish and a feat, but we're just so happy with how this came out," he added. The Hollywood hunk also admitted that they encountered some problems during the process of creating the costume.

"There was a lot of work with very little time. FOX gave us the green light and we had to be on camera in twelve weeks. That's NO time for prep," Blake Lively's husband explained. "So we kept fighting and fighting to make tweaks to the suit. Like when the deadline has passed and we were still going back and forth."

All of their hard work paid off and the "Deadpool" costume was perfect that Ryan Reynolds and Tim Miller got emotional when they saw it for the first time. "I'm not even exaggerating, we wept in Simi Valley California in some warehouse where some guy makes all these crazy suits and had this one under a spotlight," the actor said. "We walked in and we wept. Tears coming down our cheeks. It felt so good."
