Carl's Jr. first and one of a kind sports restaurant is now open in Glendale, Ariz., according to the Business Journal.
"We wanted this building to be a standout, and we had a vision of what it could be," Jason LeVecke Frontier Star CJ LLC chief executive officer told Biz Journals. "We look forward to serving the crowds of sports fans who usually fill the streets before and after games."
Customers can expect an all-sports design when they walk into the new eating establishment, accompanied by 11 flat screen televisions, and a sports mural. The company's logo will also be on the top of the restaurant in 3-D, a first for any of the franchise restaurant chain's 1,400 locations.
The restaurant, located at 6706 N. 95th Ave. counts as Carl Jr's 82nd location in Arizona, and over 130 Levecke and his brother, and sister Margaret Renee run in seven states.
The restaurant is located near the Jobing.com Arena, which is home to the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. There are also other fast food restaurants in the vicinity such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, Which Wich sandwiches, and Shane's Rib's. Customers can also enjoy Buffalo Wild Wings, Gordon Biersch, Yard House, and Westgate Entertainment District.
Carl's Jr. is also giving $1,000 to Phoenix Suns Charities, Phoenix Coyotes Charities, American Legion Post No. 29, and the Phoenix Children's Hospital as part of the occasion.
The company and the Phoenix Suns agreed on a $4 million deal to establish a fast food franchise location in the NBA team's US Airways Center.
Tuesday's news is the latest development since its counterpart Hardee's announced plans to serve thicker burgers on fresh-baked buns made in each of their locations thanks to the proper ovens to do so.
The company started to distribute the new product last month, and is expected to have it in all of its locations by Nov. 14.
